So - what a turnout - 54 people turned up. Firstly apologies for the cramped space and the failure of the air conditioning but some things cannot be anticipated. We considered changing the venue at the last minute to facilitate the many RSVP's in the last 2 days but were concerned we would not get the word out to all who had committed to come along. Many thanks to Jac, Ginny and Mairi for sparking off a wide ranging discussion. I don't know that we actually answered any hard questions completely but we certainly gave a few views a good airing.

Thanks to you Kevin and Sioux and all the people who have generously donated money, and to all of you who supported and worked alongside Aletia - thank you. With love and gratitude, Shara. Note: there has been interest expressed, so an Auckland Memorial for Aletia is being planned, and I will let you know the details when they are finalised.

Yes - Sadly the timing is not in the control of either Leon or NZCS. However the film will have a limited run I suspect so keep tuned for more dates.

Such a shame that the "Illustrious Energy" screening clashes with the combined screen guilds' Xmas party:

"Dear All,
Just a reminder about our combined Guild Xmas Party this Thursday 15th at The Long Room in Auckland, from 6pm, 114 Ponsonby Rd...."

But MX & HNY, everyone.

But the best is the company of even greater achievers and mentors and of course NZCS AFTA winning members - David Paul, Simon Raby and also finalists Andrew Commis and Renaud Maire and Alun Bollinger.

This is a reminder to those who have confirmed you will attend grading with Renaud Maire

Date: Wednesday the 9th of November. Time: 5:30pm
Venue: Images & Sound 113 Grafton Road, Auckland

Places for this event have been highly sought after and we have strictly limited the numbers attending so that you can each get the most out of it.

If for any reason you have to cancel please let me know today as others are waiting to take up this opportunity.

NZCS Chairperson Simon Riera will be present at this event on my behalf as I am shooting. Any last minute questions on the day should be forwarded to him on 021 0523662

Thank you all for your support of NZCS Events and a very special thanks to Renaud Maire, Paul Lear and the team at Images and Sound who have all been so generous in their sharing of experience and knowledge for the benefit of all members.

Regards Kevin Riley
