NZCS Awards 2020 postponed

The effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on our community, our industry, and the New Zealand economy is forecast to be significant.

At NZCS we believe it would be irresponsible to carry on planning for a major black tie event as if things were normal. Unprecedented travel restrictions and lockdowns around the world shows that things are far from normal, even if the impact so far in New Zealand appears to be less than other countries.

For this reason, the NZCS Awards 2020 will not be held this year and will resume in 2021.

In the meantime we urge everyone to take play their part to help contain this pandemic.

The NZCS Awards are an exciting development begun in 2016 as a way to encourage, recognise, and honour world-class cinematography in New Zealand.

For cinematographers the NZCS Awards are a way to have your work evaluated and recognised, no matter what genre or format you work in, or what your budget was. Because there can be more than one gold, silver, or bronze award in each category, it is worth entering without worrying who you might be up against. An award or two will help you polish your CV and build your career.

For sponsors the NZCS Awards provides a unique and valuable opportunity to reach out to decision makers, and show them that your organisation is worth their support. A sponsor plaque looks pretty good at reception, too.

The NZCS Awards are based on the very successful ACS Awards held in Australia.
