The New Zealand Cinematographer Awards encourage, recognise, and honour world-class cinematography in New Zealand.

Winning a Gold, Silver or Bronze NZCS award from one, or more, of the various categories is recognition amongst cinematographers that you have created a work of art that stands out and deserves acknowledgement.

It's all about what you shot within the production's genre and format. What's more, because there can be more than one gold, silver, or bronze award in each category there is room for you to win an award no matter what your budget was.
