If you have been a professional cinematographer in any field for a minimum of 8 years — including at least the last 3 years as an NZCS Cinematographer member — it might be time to consider applying for NZCS Accreditation.
You’ll need to have achieved a level of world-class visual storytelling that goes beyond professional competence and reaches the top tier of cinematography in your chosen field.
NZCS Accreditation signifies international recognition as a master cinematographer, with a substantive body of work that consistently meets a high, world-class standard. To learn more, read our NZCS Accreditation overview.
Accredited members are the only people permitted to use the letters NZCS after their name.
To apply, download and complete the application form, and submit your application, supporting documents and media to the address provided.
If you would like help or advice, please email eo@nzcine.com.
Applications close 31 May 2025.
The 2025 Accreditation recipients will be announced at the 8th Annual NZCS Awards ceremony on Saturday, 18 October 2025, in Auckland.
